چکیده
The study was conducted in the river system located at Wilmar oil palm plantation Miri, Sarawak. objective of is to determine fish species diversity and composition streams rivers plantations. Fish were sampled using a variety fishing methods, including, scoop nets, cast net, gill nets different mesh sizes (1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.75 4.0 cm) from 2 7 February 2014. A total 326 individual including 32 native fishes one non-native 19 genera, seven families five orders collected locations. cyprinid represented 62.20% caught found all surveyed. About six endemic Borneo such as Barbonymus collingwoodii, Barbodes banksi, sealei, Hampala bimaculata Nematabramis borneensis everetti identified. However, only Bagridae, Balitoridae, Clariidae, Hemiramphidae sites. higher landscapes could be attributed conservation some areas high value forest (HCVF) status, which have provided suitable habitat for within aquatic environments.

Performance and Economic Feasibility of Using Soybean Oil, Palm Oil and Fish Oil in Broiler Diet
Six hundred day old unsexed broiler chicks were used in a 35-day trial to compare the effects of soybean oil, palm oil and fish oil supplementation on the performance of broilers in terms of feed intake, weight gain and feed conversion. The chicks were randomly distributed following a completely randomized design in four groups having three replications per treatment. Each treatment had 150 bir...
متن کاملMitigating the impact of oil-palm monoculture on freshwater fishes in Southeast Asia.
Anthropogenic land-cover change is driving biodiversity loss worldwide. At the epicenter of this crisis lies Southeast Asia, where biodiversity-rich forests are being converted to oil-palm monocultures. As demand for palm oil increases, there is an urgent need to find strategies that maintain biodiversity in plantations. Previous studies found that retaining forest patches within plantations be...

OBJECTIVES Production agriculture is commonly associated with high prevalence of ergonomic injuries, particularly during intensive manual labor and during harvesting. This paper intends to briefly describe an overview of oil palm plantation management highlighting the ergonomics problem each of the breakdown task analysis. METHODS Although cross-sectional field visits were conducted in the cu...
متن کاملA Review: Clearing Oil Palm Plantation with Multi-Stakeholder Model
The clearing land or clearing of oil palm plantations needs stakeholders‟ involvement in decision making, such as the role of government group, environmentalists, investors and the agricultural community groups from non-governmental organizations (NGO). This paper discusses about the Group Decision Support (GDS) that can be used for Oil Palm Plantation Land Clearing cases involving various stak...
متن کاملDoes logging and forest conversion to oil palm agriculture alter functional diversity in a biodiversity hotspot?
Forests in Southeast Asia are rapidly being logged and converted to oil palm. These changes in land-use are known to affect species diversity but consequences for the functional diversity of species assemblages are poorly understood. Environmental filtering of species with similar traits could lead to disproportionate reductions in trait diversity in degraded habitats. Here, we focus on dung be...
